Good Morning! Here’s the Monday Morning Blog!
Have you touched base with your teen? Ask them if they need help with anything. It will show that you are interested and want to engage with them. Talking to them will also give you some insight into how they are feeling and what they may be struggling with. It is important for all of us to check in with each other.

April is Autism Awareness Month
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1 in 54 children in the United States have been diagnosed with autism. Since this is Autism Awareness Month, we will feature some books about people who are on the spectrum and dealing with this disorder.
Our featured author this month is Michael McCreary. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of five. Now at the age of twenty-eight, he is a self-defined Aspie Comic, a stand-up comedian who uses his love of the theater and being funny to breakdown the misconceptions about Autism Spectrum Disorder. He also wrote a memoir called Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic.
My Journey
Even though my journey started out as an author, it is not only about the series. It has evolved into sharing my story about how my passion made a series of books and a platform that helps parents engage with their teens and young adults.
