The Way Series

I’ve been a creative writer since I was a kid, mainly in the form of silly plays and creative storytelling. As an adult, I was inspired by watching the kids around me growing up and learning life lessons. I wanted to write about the challenges teenagers go through and provide a relatable resource for them.

When I was growing up and facing these challenges as a teen, I wasn’t sure where to go for help and lacked the confidence to find out. So, I just dealt with what was happening to me. If I knew the adults around me truly wanted to help, I may have asked. Now, I’m driven to help teens conquer the challenges they are facing by helping the parents and caring adults around them have resources to tap into.

The Way Series is a teen and young adult set of novels focusing on teen challenges. Each of the books in the series focuses on a challenge that teens face. My first book, The Hard Way, is about Peer Pressure. You can read the series in order or just read the book that relates to the current challenge being faced by you and your teen.

Besides writing, I analyze and report data during the day and coordinate a family life for my fiancé, two young adult sons, two dogs and a cat by night. I have lived in Minnesota all my life and continue to love the four seasons and ten thousand lakes the state is known for. Some of my favorite places to write and create are by many of those lakes.
